The finnish trotting and breeding association

Suomen Hippos ry, the Finnish trotting and breeding association consists of 129 member organizations. It is a parent company of Fintoto Oy (betting) and Suomen Hevosurheilulehti Oy (the leading horse sports journal).

Suomen Hippos ry is formed in 1973.  The functions of the organization are to license trainers, drivers and officials, formulate the rules of racing (link to the rules), serve as the registry for the horses, maintain breeding and racing information and records, endeavor to ensure the integrity of trotting racing and promote the sport.
